It’s never too late…
“I paint in various styles and techniques but most of all I adore impressionism.
Also, I like to paint in the style of Blade and Sock, under the guidance of painters Elena and Vladimir Illichev from Odessa.” – Elena Kayyali

About me
Elena Kayyali was born in 1958 in the Urals, Russia. After graduating from the Moscow Power Engineering Institute, she and her husband returned to husband’s homeland – Syria.
In 2007, she moved together with her family to the UAE. This event marked the beginning of a series of happy accidents that set the future artist on the path of fine arts. During a spontaneous visit to the Academy of Arts in the Emirate of Sharjah, she met a teacher from Yemen, who studied at the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts. It was the acquaintance that marked the beginning of the creative path and her love of painting.
During the search for her own style, various techniques and materials were tried, but the final choice fell on the technique that she liked the most – oil painting.
The artist’s first work was the painting “A Day in July” inspired by K. Korovin, in the style of impressionism.
So far, Elena Kayali painted more than 300 paintings, many of which are now in private collections.
